THE BRIDE

" Here Comes the Bride... All Dressed
in White ...err, GLOVES!!! "
This is not one of Alexander McQueen nor a Vera Wang creation... The artist is Susie MacMurray. The bridal dress is made from 1 400 rubber gloves (try counting that!). Here, I go again...obsessing with numbersss yet again! Anyhow, the rubber gloves are the common variety; the kind for doing dishes...(not yellow kind? I'm glad you noticed, cos' she had them inverted - inside out, clever!). Wait a minute, hand gloves for washing dishes! This is 2008, and the last time I checked, women can already vote! All Brides to be, please take note; Dishwashing machines!!! Do not, I repeat DONOT ruin your nice French Manicure! heehee...! MacMurray's 'glovesss' will be on display in New York's Museum of Art and Design this September, highlighting 'Second Lives'...disposables, mass-produced and recycled items, they can actually be objects of art. LENORENEVERMORE is reminded once again, "recycle, recycle, recycle..." But how about the deeper meaning of this piece...? Let us continue to ponder, shall we...
" ...mmm, I wonder if the groom should be wearing the black garbage bags...what would it say??? "
